Segment 1: "NOSB the National Ocean Science Bowl 1999 the second regional, 2 day, contest for high school students. This years contest was a written and oral presentation on the population drop and recommendations for protecting Steller Sea Lions. A tour took place at the Alaska Sea Life Center at Seward, Alaska. Competing schools on the first day produce a written paper and do an oral presentation of the subject. An art show based on the subject also takes place. On the second day is a science quiz competition. Segment 2: "The Forest Where We Live" explores the urban to suburban landscape environment and the vital connection for enhancing peoples lives. Segment 3: Guest interview with coordinator in the Urban and Community Forestry program in the Alaska Department of Natural Resources on the benefits people get from environments that have living near and seeing trees. Outlook is a magazine featuring segments on local public affairs.
