Segment 1: problem of increasing Alaskan Native teen smoking. Discussion among: Alaska Native Health Board, American Lung Association, and a participant in the Challenge to Quit, a 5 week smoking secession program. Segment 2: N.O.S.B. = National Ocean Science Bowl, the Alaska 2000 Regional competition. High school contestants over three days develop and present a paper and an oral presentation on a 50 year environmental protection plan for an aquatic or maritime resource in their area. During this time there is also an art show, two science quiz matches. There is also from the Governor's Alaska Coastal Management Program a mixed team competition on a coastal zone plan presentation. Outlook is a magazine featuring segments on local public affairs.
