Cast lead medieval seal matrix, flat and lozengiform, measuring 33.35mm long and 27.09mm wide. It is a maximum of 4.18mm thick and weighs 17.3g. The reverse has a small integral projection at the top corner, which is now damaged. The engraved central motif is in two parts, separated by a horizontal line; a conventional if rather crude fleur-de-lis above, and a criss-cross pattern of three lines crossing three lines filling the triangular space beneath. The inscription is set between two lightly scratched borders, and reads + S' hENRICI FIL' -VRAG (Seal of Henry son of ? - the second name has not been identified. The N of Henrici is reversed on the impression and the engraving is inexpert. The matrix has a dark grey patina and shows signs of corrosion. It dates to the 13th century.
