An incomplete miniature cast copper alloy knife of probable Post-Medieval, eighteenth century date (AD 1700 - AD 1800). Probably a toy. Length: 39.3mm; width: 9.0mm and 3.6mm thick. Weight: 5.11g.The handle is convex on both faces and the 'pistol grip' handle might suggest an eighteenth century date. Only a small portion of the blade has survived due to an old break. At the junction between the handle and blade there are three prominent circumferential ribs. The butt end of the handle has a shiny mid-green patina and the remaining surfaces are covered with whitish/buff copper alloy corrosion products.
