Post-medieval toy or miniature copper alloy multiple cauldron. Four cauldrons, each completely joined to its neighbours, together comprise a roughly square flat-topped object with a slight concavity in the centre of each side, with a tiny pierced lug in each corner (two incomplete). The underside is almost flat with a leg in each corner. Two have been worn almost flat and are scarcely discernible. The other two are stumps. 29 x 25mm. Height excluding legs 14mm. On account of their absence from urban contexts such novelty items and their full-size equivalents have been described as a "rural joke" (LVPL-5D8BF7). Triple cauldrons are fairly common, but only one other quadruple example has been recorded (NLM-5A2185). Mid 16th - 17th century.
