The Portable Antiquities Scheme

A Post Medieval lead alloy button or cufflink dating AD1702-1714. The object has an octagonal face with a loop for attachment on the reverse. The front surface is decorated with a portrait of Queen Anne in profile within a lobed border. On the reverse there is a casting seam extending across the diameter and there is a bar of concretion running through the attachment loop. Dimensions: thickness: 4.43mm; diameter: 15.11mm; weight: 1.63g.
