ROMAN MINIATURE OBJECT

Roman copper alloy miniature axe, 33mm long and 24mm wide. The axe is in good condition with a brown patina. The axe has a curving blade, 15mm long, which has been decorated. On one side a horizontal incised line runs across its length and on the other is an incised drawing of what appears to be pincers or plyers? The upper part of the shaft, 6mm, is square in section, but its lower part has had the corners cut away to form an octagonal section. Close to the base of the shaft, about 4mm from the end, are two horizontal incised lines.
