An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman votive miniature shovel. The shallow sub-square pan tapers in thickness and flares out slightly at the end. On the top edge of the pan is an integral circular-section handle, which is incomplete and slightly bent at the top. The surviving length is 39.2mm, the maximum width of the pan is 19.8mm, the diameter of the handle is 2.6mm and weight is 3.09g.
