Copper alloy votive miniature axe. This object is unusual as it appears to have been deposited or lost as an unfinished piece. Around the axe blade there is still overspill from the casting process which had yet to be filed off. Miniature objects such as this may have been carried as good luck charms or used as votive offerings.
