Copper alloy miniature cauldron dating from the late medieval to the post medieval period. These items appear in the late 15th and continue perhaps into the 18th century although are most common during the late 16th to 17th century. These are the only miniature domestic items of copper alloy known in any number; many other base metal miniatures are made from lead or lead alloy. The cauldron is cast with two small handle lugs and three legs each with a slightly splayed foot so that the cauldron stands upright. The body is hollow and round with an angled rim. The miniature vessel weighs 7.94g and measures 19.4mm in length (height) and 20.8mm in width (across the handles).
