A worn and heavily clipped silver Medieval long cross hammered coin, probably a crude irregular 15th century halfpenny. The obverse portrait is poorly rendered with an unclear crown, asymmetrical hair, rectangular collar, a solid inner circle and what is probably a nonsense legend. The reverse has a long cross that appears to have bifurcated ends in the style of a long cross fourchee or perhaps a crozier coupled with a quatrefolil centre. Circa 1399-1500 AD.
