Class 1a* a distinguishing feature of this sub-class is the appearance of serifs to limbs of X and occasionally the N is reverse-barred. Moneyer Simond on RVLA rhuddlan mint.Coins from the rhuddlan mint are divided into a further 5 classes this coin being class 2 1190-1205 SIMON(D)- cross pattee. Full flan centre strike.Obverse: HENRICVS REX; portrait five pearls in crown sceptre right hand.Reverse: SIMOND.ON. RVLA; voided short cross four pellets in quarters.
