Fragment of post-medieval copper alloy vessel (greyish- high lead content), broken base of a probable bowl with ompholos and cast medallion (diam.28mm) on inside face with a renaissance portrait bust, facing right, of the Holy Roman Emperor Maximillian II (Emperor from 1564-1576) flanked by an inscription: MAX IMP. Surviving diameter 52mm. Cf. another example, from Ingham (NMS-DFE553). Late 16th century or later.
