Miniature bow brooch with radiate head-plate, ribbed foot and facetted foot and head plates. Hinge and catchplate intact. Catchplate mid-way down bow. Iron corrosion around hinge from pin.This brooch appears to be a simple version of the miniature radiate brooches current in northern Germany and the Rhineland (such as Krefeld-Gellep). It is an unusual find for an Anglo-Saxon context, though a similar example is known from Grave 26 at the Anglo-Saxon cemetery at High Down, Sussex. (Seen by Leslie Webster).
