An incomplete lead alloy possible miniature claw-hammer head, likely dating to the Post Medieval period. The object consists of an upper and lower portion; the upper portion is cylindrical with a rounded top, which tapers to meet the lower portion. The lower portion consists of a pair of squared-shoulders, which extend vertically on either side to form two rounded protrusions, creating a U-shaped space in-between. There is a pair of moulded transverse grooves at the juncture of the upper cylinder and lower portion and there are casting seams present on both sides.This is one comparable object recorded on the database, which is more complete: SUR-6386A4. In view of its diminutive size it seems unlikely that it was used as a hammer, although the exact nature and function of this object remains uncertain. It measures 28.6 mm in length, 13.1 mm wide, 9.0 mm thick and weighs 10.78 g.
