The Portable Antiquities Scheme

A gold finger ring made of a flattened band engraved with flowers and leaves on the external face. The engraving is split into three parts with words engraved between each. From comparable examples these are likely to be in French and may read 'en bon an' which was a fairly common phrase meaning 'a good year'.
