Half length portrait of a seated woman,leaning towards the camera. Her hair is swept back from the face, with a plaited coil on the back of her head. The fingers of her left hand touch her chin, her right hand rests on her lap. She wears a pale blue and pink patterned low- cut dress with short sleeves. Her jewellery includes gem earrings, three strings of pearls around the neck, a brooch with brilliants at the front of her dress and a ring on each hand. Behind her is a lace-covered cushion. Hand coloured, gold highlights, punched silver highlights.

Half length portrait of an artwork of an elderly man (or a photograph of a heavily over painted photograph) with white hair and sideburns. He reclines against a chair. He wears a dark jacket and waistcoat, white shirt. Lightly hand coloured. The case contains two portraits of a man and wife, see also No number 32_2.
