An incomplete post-medieval lead alloy (pewter) toy vessel, probably 17th century in date. The toy is a miniature deep bowl or vase with steep sides and a pronounced foot-ring for the base. On the vessel just above the foot ring is a single incised line for decoration. The rest of the vessel is missing so its true form is not identifiable. The base of the bowl has multiple thin circumferential lines which appears to be a product of the manufacturing process rather than being decorative. Although it is likely that this toy is 17th century in date, toy vessels like this are also known to have been produced into the 18th century.
