Copper-alloy buckle frame and plate. The frame is trapezoidal, with a lobe at each end of the narrowed bar. The frame then widens out to the outer edge, which has a circular lobe at each end and a projecting pin rest in the centre. Each circular lobe has a textured surface, perhaps made up of punchmarks, but the buckle is corroded and detail is hard to see. The plate is rectangular with frame recesses and a pin slot, and measures 17.5 mm wide by 17 mm total length. It is decorated with a grooved border made by rocking the engraving tool slightly, and has two copper-alloy rivets. There are faint traces of gilding on both frame and plate.
