A Late Iron Age/ Early Roman (200 BC - AD 100) copper alloy miniature terret ('mini terret'), measuring 23.41x22.59x6.20mm and weighing 5.67g.In shape the mini terret is curved and ring-like on one half and an inverted-V shape on the other half. The curved part is circular in cross-section (c.4mm diameter), expanding at either end to 5.4mm. The V-shaped part is also circular in cross-section but 3.4mm in diameter, expanding to 5.4mm at one end and 5.8mm at the other (the apex of the inverted-V). From these expanded ends spherical moulding bursts through, bud-like, in that the component parts to either side touch on the inside surface of the mini terret but in profile are pushed apart in a V-shape. The spherical moulding at the apex measures 6.20mm in diameter, the other two 5.8mm. All are decorated with numerous randomly placed punched circles. The internal diameter of the object is c.13mm in diameter.
