POST MEDIEVAL MINIATURE OBJECT

Lead object with an iron rod set vertically through the centre. The object is cylindrical in shape and resembles a miniture tankard. It has a solid base with two raised lines around the circumference of the botton edge near to the base. On each side of the 'tankard' there is an ornate curved handle and on the front and back there appears to have been some sort of decoration although this is not clear. Down the complete length of the tankard there is an iron pin which protrudes above the tankard rim by about 13mm. Inside the cylinder, the iron pin has a crossbar, presumably to keep it in place. The function of ths object is unclear. It weighs 19.9g and measures 50mm in length (including iron pin) and 22mm in width (including the handles). The object is probably post-medieval - modern in date.
