New house, com.Oveselu, jud. The Veil. Oveselu is the residence village of Măciuca commune from Vâlcea county, Oltenia, Romania. The camera lens captured an aspect of popular architecture from 1964. The excavations conducted during that period were part of a research project conducted in several regions of the country. The picture illustrates an aspect of the old folk architecture from this area: house from Vâlcea area. In the foreground appears the main facade of the house and partly one of the side facades. The layout of the house within the household is traditional: the facade to the nun, the short sides to the courtyard. The construction is built on a high socket, which, allowed the existence of a cellar under the floor of the camerelor. The brick walls are plastered and shedded. The four-water roof has sheet coverings, the rib is decorated with cut sheet. Below the eaves, around, is fixed the guard decorated with geometric motifs: semicircles. The planimetry follows the plans of the old houses: two-room tinde. Prispa, arranged along the entire length of the facade, has in the center a gazebo with a roof. The prespa and the gazebo have round pillars with capitals and semicircular arches, between them. The basement railing in full masonry shows rectangular spaces with pillars inside. Access to the gazebo is via two concrete stairs, arranged symmetrically on either side of the gazebo. He has a railing with pillars and access to the cellar is via a door arranged in the center. Its roof is complex at the foothills with rectangular sheet covers. In the middle is fixed a pyramidal tower wrapped with sheet metal in scales and a rich decor made of cut sheet, on the rump. The decor is made of stucature, cut and painting, being placed under the eaves, around the windows, the arches and at the railing of the priory - stylized birds and flowers, acanthus leaves, medallions, rhombuses, triangles, etc.
