Russell Bolay, 16, (center) was held today (Sept. 25) after arraignment in Second District Court, Fall River, Mass., on a murder charge in connection with the death of his father, Joseph, last night in Somerset, Mass. With him are l-r: Dist. Atty. J. Edward Lajoie; Patrolman Thomas Ducharme; Bolay; Patrolman John Soares; and Somerset Police Chief William Nolan. Lajoie said Russell was booked after he told authorities he shot his father in an effort to protect his mother.

Serum-Aided Polio Victim-Peggy Ann Best, 4, of Tucumcari, N. M., smiles at her grandfather, Dr. C. O. Molander, Chicago, who gave her a special serum Friday to lessen severity of polio. She apparently is recovering in Lubbock, Tex., hospital. The serum, said to be in use 10 to 15 years, was used after Peggy's sister, Sandra, 7, had died of polio.
