Seized as slayer of five in-laws

Vineland, N.J......Ernest Ingenito (above), 26-year-old war veteran, was captured early today by New Jersey state troopers in Landis Township after a chase that began when Ingenito went on a shooting spree in the neighboring villages of Piney Hollow and Minotola, killing five of his wife's relatives and wounding his wife and three other persons. Ingenito, police said, set out to kill off his wife's family after she refused to reconcile with him and threatened him with loss of visiting rights to their two children. The troopers said that Ingenito surrendered without a fight and had attempted suicide by slashing his wrists with a razor.
