Rhoda Truax Aldrich, 46 Shepard St., Cambridge, is the recipient of favorable comments from critics on her new book "The Doctors Jacobi," just published by Little, Brown and Co. It is the story of Mary Putnam, daughter of the founder of the publishing firm, who later became Dr. Jacobi and one of the great women figures in medical history. Mrs. Aldrich has long been a student of medical literature and discovered Mary Putnam one of the heroines of Americana.
