Pick Proof Lock. The new non-pickable cylinder lock invented by Samuel Segal, former detective of the New York Police Department, is seen. This lock can not be opened without the owner's key. The Segal pick-proof cylinder contains an oscillating protective sleeve fitted over the cylinder plug. The pin drivers are headed and undercut. When a lock pick is inserted in this cylinder, the pins, uncontrollable, trap and are locked by recesses in the protective sleeve.
