Illinois Opens Fight Against Mosquitos. J. Lyell Clark, of the Des Plaines Mosquito Abatement Project, and one of his assistants coating a marsh with a tint in the state battle against the carriers of malaria and other diseases. The infested marshes are covered with tints of red, green, purple and yellow, to aid scientists, who are seeking the flying range of the pests, in their fight to eradicate them.
