From convent to race track

Lincoln, Rhode Island- Sandra (Sandy) Schleiffers, 23-year-old miss who spent some time in a convent in Clinton, Iowa, will ride at Lincoln Downs when the meet opens on July 5. After three years at California Polytech Institute, Sandra entered the Convent of the Sisters of St. Francis but left after a time for 'family reasons.' She comes to Lincoln Downs from Pocono Downs in Pennsylvania where she was eighth leading rider for the meet. She is shown here with Fleet Skis.
