Bethesda, MD: Jackie Jackson, a 23-year-old cost analyst who pitches and plays first base in a men's unlimited softball league, will try out for a professional baseball contract 8/21 when she goes through some drills for the Pittsfield, Mass., Senators, a Washington Senators' Eastern League franchise. Pat McKernan, manager of the Pittsfield club, said if she looks good, "I just might sign her." Miss Jackson said, "this is a lifelong dream. I grew up with a bat in my hand."
