Hilda Moves North-Cross and arrows locate Hurricane Hilda about 275 miles south-southwest of New Orleans in the Gulf of Mexico. Hurricane warnings are displayed (shaded area) along all along the Louisiana coast west of the mouth of the Mississippi river. Storm is expected to move north-northwest about seven miles per hour.
