A variation of No. 4. (Bellows) / Emma Bellows appears between Elsie Speicher, on the left, and Marjorie Henri, on the right. The women are elegantly posed on the chair and settee that frequently appear in interior scenes of the Bellows studio at 146 East Nineteenth Street, New York. The artist, recognized by his balding head, visits in the background with the two other husbands. Eugene Speicher is in the center, Robert Henri appears on the right. (Mason)
