Dorothy Ellingson, mother slayer, leaves prison

Dorothy Ellingson, San Francisco "jazz" girl left San Quentin prison yesterday a free girl, after serving nearly seven years for the murder of her mother. She was 16 when she killed her mother, 17 when she entered San Quentin and is now a woman of 23. Dorothy Ellingson is shown above as she appeared here yesterday upon her release from prison. No longer the jazz-mad girl, but a well-groomed, poised woman.
