Campaigner. Caroline Coon believes that the opinion that marijuana is harmless but must be legally controlled will be accepted in Britain before long. She herself has taken the issue seriously. She founded an organization called "Release," to try to help drug users and keep them out of jail. And she has campaigned to change the law which sends marijuana users to jail on first convictions; in practice the campaign has already succeeded, and the law is expected to be changed later this year.
