Billy Ray Carmack (L), 26, accused by his bride of six weeks that he tried to kill her in order to collect on a $25,000 insurance policy, is accompanied by his attorney, Paul Foley, on arrival at court house here 8/12 for appearance on charges of assault with intent to commit murder and arson. Mrs. Carmack, 20, said her husband clubbed her, choked her, and with one or two other men set their car afire and sent it plunging over a cliff. She revived in time to scramble from the auto and was found by three youths who took her to the hospital. Carmack is free on $30,000 bail.
