A masked ball in a picture gallery whose walls are covered with hangings. Among the masqueraders going and coming, one notices in the center, a grotesque figure with a great head and a long nose, with glasses on it, in peasant costume. In the foreground at right, a pierrot seated on the ground and seen from the back.
