"Boston Marathon Collage"

I was born in Boston and raised in East Boston. All my life my dream was to run the Boston Marathon. Ran it in 1990! Watched many Boston Marathons with my Dad and later wife and friends. I made this collage a few days after the tragedy while I was taking art classes at MFA. I felt I had to do something. As an artist making the collage and bringing it to the memorial helped me get through the pain. I brought it to the first memorial near Copley Street then later saw it at the more permanent location at Copley Square and that is where I took this photo! Because I grew up in Boston, ran the marathon, and so much more, I have a life long love and connection with this wonderful city. People often ask me if I am a Red Sox fan, Celtics fan, Bruins fan, and Patriots fan! I always answer them, "No, I am a Boston fan!" Boston Strong! Crying as I type this!
