Memorial for the Boston Police, by Robert Shure. It was created in 2005 and is located at the Boston Police Headquarters in Roxbury. The memorial consists of a timeline, plaque, and a sculpture. The timeline is rectangular and made of bronze and granite, designed so viewers can walk from left to right as they read about the history of Boston's police department from the colonial era to the present. In the center of the timeline is a police badge made of stainless steel. A sculpture is placed in the middle of the site upon a circular granite platform, and portrays a flame made of stainless steel. Another stone holds up a bronze plaque reading the Boston police mission, standing between the US flag and the Boston flag.
