Half-length portrait of Lemuel Mosher with mustache, plaid bow tie, and a coat with a fabric tab between the two sides right below the lapels. Colored by hand. Title devised by curator. Oval brassed-colored mat with punched dots around opening. Decorative protector. Purple lining around case with red velvet lining on opposite side embossed with an urn with long leaves coming out of it. Brown paper case with The Loving Cup design; spine paper is coming off. Single central hook and eye. Advertisement card reads: James & Co.'s 25 cent Daguerreotype and Ambrotype Rooms, cor.Winter and Washington Streets, Boston. Ambrotypes, or Pictures on glass, of all sizes in every style, cheaper than any other place in the world.
