On this episode of Report from Santa Fe, Dr. Leonard Shlain, Author of “Art and Physics,” who is speaking at a conference in Santa Fe called “Creativity and Madness,” discusses his recent publications and his career as a physician. He has a keen interest in Psychiatry and Neuroscience. He explains his Archaeological tour in the Mediterranean in which he learned that in ancient times, people worshipped goddesses. In the book “Alphabet Versus the Goddess,” he explains that the invention of literacy during the last 5000 years of patriarchal culture led to the disappearance of the goddess, and the suppression of women's rights.
