Marianna Koval began working on a garden project in October and brought together her community to plant some of the one million daffodils donated to New York by the city of Rotterdam in the wake of the tragedy. Over the course of six weeks of clearing a field on the Brooklyn waterfront and working with 600 volunteers, Koval reclaimed her sense of purpose as a New Yorker. Psychologist Jack Saul, Head of International Trauma Studies at NYU, discusses how massive trauma plays out over time and how collective experiences can be enormously helpful in the period we are now going through. Cartoonist and Pulitzer Prize winning author Art Spiegelman discusses art's role in synthesizing the 9/11 events, his efforts to capture New York's struggles in his New Yorker covers, and his personal take on where New York is today. DC Comics artists relate how the mission of their comic book heroes has changed now that we live in a world where 110 story buildings come tumbling down. They created on of the first tributes to the events of 9/11 in a comic strip called "Moment of Silence". New York Voices is a news magazine made up of segments featuring profiles and interviews with New Yorkers talking about the issues affecting New York.
