Bravos Awards; 20th Annual Recipients

The 20th annual Bravos Awards, hosted by Chris Schueler and presented by the Albuquerque Arts Alliance and KNME-TV, honors outstanding people and arts organizations in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Recipients include, Lana Kroth (Excellence in Dance), James Bratcher (Excellence in Music), Mary Carroll Nelson (Excellence in Visual Arts), Jim Linnell (Excellence in Theater Arts), Joe Simon Sando, Jemez Pueblo (Excellence in Literary Arts), Karen Turner (Outstanding Arts Volunteer/Philanthropist, VSA Arts of New Mexico (Excellence in Arts Education), Adobe Theater, Inc. (Outstanding Arts Organization), Bart Prince (President's Award). This program features a special panel discussion about Albuquerque's arts community and its potential to be a major economic engine for the state. Panelists: Martin Chavez (Mayor of Albuquerque), Cricket Appel (Executive Director, Arts Alliance), Don Michaelis (Publisher, Wingspread Collector's Guide), and Tony DellaFlora (Writer and Arts Consultant).
