Trustman, Benjamin A., Trustman, Julia M. · 1831
It shows a man with a police cap on his head, selling a National Guard uniform in order to be able to pay his taxes. In the background one sees a drummer calling to arms, but nobody seems to listen. After the July-Revolution, the National Guard was rather discontent and occasionally even refused to obey the orders. (This lithograph was not signed by Dauimer)
