A Roman copper alloy votive model in the shape of an axe, dating c. AD43-410. The object flares out to form the cutting edge at one end and flares out to a lesser degree to form the butt. There is an integral loop cast at approximately mid way along the length. It projects from the lower edge and have been for suspension. There is some damage to the upper corner of the cutting edge. The copper alloy has a dark green patina.Dimensions: length: 26.64mm; width: 8.90mm; thickness: 2.01mm; weight: 1.48g.
