Miniature iron votive or model hafted axe, encrusted, but its form is still visible. The axe head is triangular in profile and 30.8 mm long, 20 mm wide and 5 mm in thickness. The butt end of the axe head has been chipped off to expose the iron core. The axe shaft is 43 mm long and 4.4 mm in thickness. Ralph Jackson comments that “it may be compared to the model iron votives from such temple sites as West Hill, Uley and Harlow”. Roman period.
