ROMAN MINIATURE OBJECT

A crudely cast lead alloy foot, possibly a votive miniature object, dating to the Roman period. The foot is D shaped in section and extends to a circular section leg cut off just above the ankle. There is no detail on the foot, the toes are not rendered. A white substance is visible on the flat sole of the foot perhaps suggestive of it originally being attached to another object. The foot measures 26mm in length, 10mm in width and has a maximum thickness of 14mm.
