Romano-British copper alloy votive or model axe. Length of handle 31mm, length of blade 21mm, maximum width of blade 8mm. A small + is engraved on one face of the blade. Axes are the most frequently occurring form of Romano-British miniature pagan cult objects, although their precise religious significance, if indeed they had any, remains uncertain.
