The subject is part of a series of etchings by Elizabeth Leveson-Gower, (1765 1839), Duchess of Sutherland, Scotland. She drew and etched a series of views of the Orkney Islands and the Northeast Coast In Scotland, “Views in Orkney,” published between 1805 and 1807. UM032456 - UM032464 is probably later imprint because the paper has fibre direction that is to say it is machine-made.
