Embroidered edge for blouse.:In 1962, writes Dr. Weitlaner Johnson, the usual attire of women in Atla was a white cotton skirt or black skirt of factory cotton, an embroidered blouse, red faja (belt), and quechquemitl. They also have colored, woolen strands braided into their hair. The braids hang loose on the back or are worn on the head (kind of tlacoyal).
