This blouse (blusa in Spanish) is made of white cotton. The sleeves and the neckline are machine stitched with red flowers and straight and wavy lines. The sleeves consist of three narrow lines next to each other and underneath that the three lace piece. Along the neckline there is a single edge, all decorated with a succession of star-shaped flowers. This method of embroidery is found not only with these Nahuas, but also, for example, with the Tepehua of Huejutla (see Cordry, pl. 67). \This blouse was bought at the Sunday market in Huejutla. The blouse has the same model as No. 4880-132, but the design is different. \ÒA blouse is used exclusively by women to cover the upper part of the body (torso, shoulders).
