The huipil is woven with cotton in a hip loom. There are embroideries on the huipil. Embroidery is a decorative technique where extra threads are added to the fabric after weaving. \The red cotton 'huipil' consists of three panels; on the middle panel, deer and bird figures are embroidered on the front and back with purple artificial silk (?). \The square neckline is also decorated with purple. Narrow brown stripes run vertically through the good. At the bottom a border of fringe. \A huipil is used exclusively by women to cover the upper part of the body (torso, shoulders).
